Tannheimer Tal - the idyllic high valley in the Allgäu Alps delights visitors with its crystal-clear mountain lakes, varied hiking and cycling routes and authentic Alpine flair.

Tannheimer Valley
At an altitude of 1,100 meters, the valley stretches out with charming villages such as Tannheim, Grän and Zöblen, surrounded by imposing peaks such as the Aggenstein (1,985 m) or the Rote Flüh (2,108 m). The Vilsalpsee, a natural jewel and nature reserve, invites you to take relaxing walks, while the Haldensee offers perfect conditions for swimming, stand-up paddling and ice skating in winter.
The Tannheimer Tal is a paradise for hikers and cyclists. Popular routes such as the Saalfelder Höhenweg or the ascent to the Landsberger Hütte offer breathtaking panoramic views. Road cyclists appreciate the winding route of the "Tannheimer Tal Cycle Marathon", while in winter six small but excellent ski areas and 140 km of cross-country ski trails provide a variety of activities.
The region is known for its relaxed atmosphere and traditional hospitality. Visitors can enjoy regional culinary specialties such as Kasspatzen and Kaiserschmarrn in rustic mountain huts. Events such as the international balloon festival in January or the Tannheimer Almabtrieb in autumn underline the traditional Tyrolean lifestyle.
