St Anton am Arlberg
As part of the Ski Arlberg ski area, the largest interconnected ski area in Austria, St. Anton offers over 300 km of pistes and 200 km of deep snow runs. Particularly well-known are challenging runs such as the "Schindlerkar" descent or the legendary "Valluga", which is only accessible with a mountain guide. The region is considered an Eldorado for freeriders, while the famous "White Ring" takes skiers on a spectacular circular tour across Lech and Zürs.
St. Anton is also a paradise for outdoor sports enthusiasts in summer. Over 400 km of hiking trails lead to breathtaking peaks such as the Valluga (2,809 m) or through picturesque valleys such as the Verwalltal. Mountain bikers will find challenging trails such as the downhill route from Galzig, while climbers and trail runners appreciate the alpine terrain. The region is also known for its extensive wellness offerings with thermal baths and relaxing mountain spa experiences.
The village itself combines tradition with modern flair: rustic huts such as the Mooserwirt or the Krazy Kanguruh are legendary for their après-ski parties, while upscale restaurants serve regional specialties such as Tiroler Gröstl or Kaiserschmarrn. In summer, events such as the "St. Anton Film Festival" or the "Montafon Arlberg Marathon" attract numerous visitors.
