Stubai Valley
Nestled between the Stubai Alps, the valley is home to towns such as Neustift, Fulpmes and Telfes. The highlight is the Stubai Glacier, the largest glacier ski area in Austria, which offers year-round skiing fun and has one of the most challenging downhill runs in the region, the "Schwarze Pfaff". Natural wonders such as the impressive Grawa waterfall or the WildeWasserWeg trail also make the valley a popular destination in summer.
Hikers and mountaineers can explore over 850 km of marked trails, including the Seven Summits Stubai with peaks such as the Zuckerhütl (3,507 m) or the Stubai high-altitude trails, which offer spectacular panoramic views. Climbers will find challenging via ferratas such as the Fernau via ferrata, while paragliders can enjoy unforgettable flights over the valley from the Elfer. In winter, the Schlick 2000 ski area, numerous cross-country ski trails and winter hiking trails provide a variety of experiences.
In addition to sporting activities, the Stubai Valley also stands for relaxation and enjoyment. The region is known for its rustic alpine huts where you can enjoy Tyrolean specialties such as cheese spaetzle or sweet Stubai Buchteln. Family-friendly attractions such as the summer toboggan run in Mieders or the StuBay adventure pool provide variety for young and old.
