And of course there is also plenty for winter sports enthusiasts. The region is the largest ski area in the Zillertal. With 147 kilometers of slopes and 52 lifts, skiers and snowboarders will find a variety of options for all levels of difficulty. 31 huts and snow bars, approx. 200 km of cross-country ski trails, floodlit toboggan runs in Gerlos and Krimml, a fun park in Hochkrimml and an action park in Zell. Those who prefer things a little quieter in winter can explore the area on a number of winter hiking trails in Zell im Zillertal.
